CD Release

VINYL is proud to release its fifth album, FOGSHACK SESSIONS #1.

Produced by In the Pocket Records and Tony Mindel, FOGSHACK #1 takes a creative exploratory into previously unreleased VINYL tracks by virtue of the magical, re-mixed mutations of the RONDO BROTHERS.

P-FUNK founder and longtime friend of VINYL, BERNIE WORRELL contributes his keyboard mastery to the entire album along with his expressive vocals on many tracks.

Album artwork is once again brilliantly composed by Neil Osborn making owning an original the only way to go. For the vinyl purists and true album art lovers, FOGSHACK SESSIONS #1 is also available on vinyl.

Get ready to take a ride with VINYL into some new territory and, as always, put on the dancing shoes!

price - $14.99 including shipping

I saw you guys open for Toots and the Maytals in Charleston SC at the Music Farm in the summer of 1999. I'm in Florida now, and getting ready to spend 2 weeks in the Bay Area on vacation on July 24th - August 5th. Please post any dates that you might add during that time, if you do happen to pick up any gigs. I'd love to grove out to that Vinyl funk one more time. The last was certainly a memorable time!

I second the vote for Colorado. Snow has arrived on the slopes here in Vail. We missed out on your summer show here. J.K., be sure to bring that B3 and the Leslie cabinet.

Just wanted to say - I think I fell in love at the late-night show at The Maple Leaf on Sunday, May 4th. I was feeling a bit depressed as I would have to be leaving New Orleans and the festivities that were JazzFest. However, your smile turned me around. You served delicious pancakes and bubbly on the sidewalk after the show. Then when you posted up at Snake and Jakes after it meant the world to me. Please tell me what type of beer I was drinking that morning and what I was wearing. You were the stunning brunette in the black dress. I want to make you my wife.

Great post!

In the same thread, vinyl is back and a small group of us in Boise, Idaho are doing our part to get the word out and help organize social groups for communal listening and friendship.

We're a little under one year old but already have over 100 members and thanks to a recent Associated Press article ( we're getting requests from people all over the US and Canada who want to start their own local chapters of VPS.

Check us out at or on MySpace:
